You need only to make the AdSense ads on your pages looks like ads, which naturally will generate more clicks.
“Wait a minute,” you say, “isn’t that a little shifty?”
My answer to that question is quite simply, no. It’s not shifty. The AdSense publisher’s problem is that Internet visitors are plagued with “banner blindness”. They automacay overlook anything that looks like an advertisement because of beng bombarded with ads all the time. It’s not that they are not interested n what the advertiser has to offer. Wth AdSense you know that they are nterested most of the time, snce the ads shown are reated to the content of the page. The fact that the visitor clicks on the ad is an expresson of ther
nterest in whatever that ad has to offer.
What I’ll focus on n this document is not hiding the fact that the nks are ads, but putng the ads on the page n such a way that they are not overlooked by the visitor. Googe makes t very clear that the nks are ads by placing ther “Ads by Googe” lnk n the ad block.
Bottom line: To get more dicks, you’ve got to get your visitors to notice the ads by making them look less like “traditional” web advertising.
